The Site’s Limited Role

This is a private reference site. It does not hold official jail, court, corrections, parole, probation, federal, or immigration records. Staff cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, cause a release, change a record, accept a public-record request for an agency, or file a court document.

The site points visitors toward official Cuyahoga County and Ohio resources, including the Sheriff, courts, ODRC, and other custody systems. It may also connect users with outside research services. Records obtained from a public office remain subject to the Ohio Public Records Act, Ohio Revised Code 149.43, its exemptions, and the originating office’s procedures.

Acceptable Use Rules

You may use the site only for lawful purposes and in a way that respects other people, the site, and the services it links to. By continuing, you agree that you will not:

• Use the site or information reached through it to violate any law.
• Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or target another person.
• Make decisions about hiring, tenancy, lending, credit, or insurance from site content.
• Attempt to enter accounts, systems, or restricted areas without authorization.
• Operate bots, crawlers, scrapers, or other automated collection tools against the site.
• Overload, damage, disable, or interfere with access for other visitors.

No Consumer Reporting Services

Cuyahoga County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not prepare or provide background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Its advertising and search partners do not offer FCRA screening services through this site. You agree not to use information found here for:

• Hiring, dismissal, promotion, or any other employment decision.
• Rental, housing, lease, or tenant-screening decisions.
• Creditworthiness, lending, account, or insurance-premium decisions.
• Licensing, permits, or eligibility for a government program.
• Any other decision regulated by the FCRA.

Outside Websites and Services

Links may lead to Sheriff and corrections pages, court systems, release-record portals, legal-aid resources, transit information, or third-party search services. Those destinations are run by others. A link is provided for convenience and does not mean that we endorse the operator, its content, or its practices. We do not control an outside site’s accuracy, availability, security, or handling of information. Review that provider’s own terms and privacy policy before using it.

Information Provided As Is

The site, its text, its links, and any results supplied by outside services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, no express or implied warranty is made that:

• Information will always be accurate, complete, or current.
• The site or any linked service will operate without interruption.
• Every error, defect, harmful component, or security weakness will be absent.
• An outside partner’s search will locate every potentially relevant record.

Custody status, release events, court entries, and public records can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department, ODRC, a court, or any other public agency. Confirm important facts with the office that created the record.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cuyahoga County Released Inmates, its owners, operators, contributors, and partners will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from access to, inability to access, or reliance on the site or an outside service. This limit applies even when the possibility of loss was known.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cuyahoga County Released Inmates, along with its owners, operators, contributors, and partners, from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses caused by your use of the site or your breach of these terms. This obligation includes reasonable legal fees and related costs.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless a source notice states otherwise, the original text, graphics, logos, page design, and code used by Cuyahoga County Released Inmates belong to the site or its content partners. You may not copy, republish, distribute, sell, modify, or create derivative works from those materials without prior written permission. Rights held by government agencies and outside sources remain with their respective owners.

Updates to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Use at any time. A revised version takes effect when it is posted here. Continued access after a revision means that you accept the updated terms, so review this page when you return.

Access May Be Revoked

We may restrict, suspend, or end access to all or part of the site at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice. That authority includes action taken in response to conduct that violates these terms or threatens the site or other users.

Ohio Law Controls

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from the site or these terms must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Ohio.

If One Term Is Invalid

If a court finds any part of these Terms of Use invalid or unenforceable, that part will be adjusted only as much as necessary to make it enforceable or removed if adjustment is not possible. Every other provision will remain in full force.
